Evol clipons have a unique design with a series of holes drilled into the clipon tube, there is then a small metal bracket which bolts to the clipon and hooks into the hole on the bar.

This is a safety feature to hold the bar in place so no force can loosen the bar from the thread.

Evol always advises red locktight on their bars when installing but also to use this safety feature
