GPS technology represents a true revolution in data acquisition. Thanks to the lightweight and waterproof GPS Module and its GPS Manager software, you can immediately get lap times and all data needed for engine tuning as well as for improving driving technique.
The GPS Module is fast in satellite signal acquisition and reliable in adverse situations. GPS Manager allows you to set track start/finish lines and splits and to download a comprehensive track database. With the GPS Module you get important information, i.e. chassis analysis, track position, etc as well as position, speed, cornering in-line and lateral G and automatic lap times.
The GPS09 Module is available in 0.5m, 1.3m, 2m or 4m cable and 2m or 4m in a roof version (with cable entry from underneath) specifically designed for easy installation on covered cars. You can purchase the roof version of the GPS09 from the accessories tab.
The Aim GPS08 Car Racing GPS Module is more precise than most of the existing GPS systems, as it has been designed to add to the GPS satellite's signal the Global Navigation Satellite (Glonass) system's signal. With an average of almost twenty satellites working in conjunction, GPS08 guarantees a precision and a reliability simply not comparable to the old generation GPS systems.
The Aim GPS08 Car Racing GPS Module stores the finish line coordinates of hundreds of tracks all over the world. Opening Race Studio 3 you will see the huge list of tracks included in the Aim database, sorted by Nation, circuit and surface type: you will be able to create your own collections, adding/removing tracks as you wish.
Should your home track be missing, after one lap its coordinates will be automatically detected by GPS08 and - once downloaded onto your PC - you will be able to include it in your own track list. So, immediately after switch-on, GPS08 Racing GPS Module will determine its position, identify the track and start loading lap times. You do not need to configure anything before going to the track: GPS08 will do it all by itself.
The Aim GPS08 Car Racing GPS Module samples ten times per second position, speed and lateral/in-line acceleration at any point of the track: all the data needed for a precise evaluation of vehicle and driver behavior, which is the necessary step to improve performance.
Thanks to GPS08, even the predictive lap time will be much more reliable: in any moment of your race, you will know your time gap vs. your best lap with absolute precision.
The Aim GPS08 Car Racing GPS Module is also available in the "Roof" version, specifically designed for easy installation on covered cars.
