Rotobox BOOST Symmetric Rear Wheel

The new and improved model BOOST carbon fiber wheel from Rotobox, decreasing the weight from the RBX2 with improved design and higher performance! Comes in gloss and matte finish, in both symmetric and convex designs.

Like the RBX2, the BOOST is produced using Rotobox's unique 3-component composite - combining carbon, epoxy and stainless steel. By integrating the stainless 2,5 mm steel wire in each side of the rim, we increase its impact resistance at the most critical outer part. JWL and DOT approved, having met JASO T203-85 safety standards.

Another hidden BOOST gem - the Structural Rib. Thanks to the High Pressure Core Technology the structural rib is placed in the inner side between the spokes, with its mission to support the stress hot spot of the wheel. As a result the BOOST elegant spoke design brings greater stiffness and although the spokes are thinner the BOOST is stronger than ever - with a permissible static load of 280 kg on the rear and 180kg on the front wheel.

ASSEMBLING COMPONENTS

Carbon fiber composite rim, a one-piece hollow carbon cast, reinforced with stainless steel wire and UV protected; 7075 T6 aluminum alloy hubs, spacers and sprocket carrier [only with rear symmetric wheel]. machined from solid and hard anodized; polyurethane cushion drive set; SKF bearings; aluminum valve stem.

PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL

Your Rotobox wheel has its own Serial Number to track the production history. We confirm to have performed quality verification procedure of your Rotobox wheel.

Rotobox Boost Wheel set Weight example:

Stock S1000RR 11.70kg (25.79 lbs)

Rotobox Boost 6.69kg (14.74 lbs)

Weight saving more than 5.00kg of rotating mass. Incredible!

UV PROTECTIVE COATING

The carbon cast is protected from radiation with a very thin layer of special clear UV protective coating. Together with the clear and smooth rim surface it ensures the wheel a zero notch effect.

HIGH QUALITY CENTER PARTS

For each motorcycle model the hubs are CNC machined from high quality 7075 T6 aluminum alloy used in the aviation industry, anodized into optional color and permanently assembled to the carbon rim.

HIGH PRESSURE CORE

The new technology achieves a high density of armature in the composite, extreme metric accuracy and a greater smoothness of the wheel surface. In addition - the wheel becomes watertight.

THINNER SPOKES

The new elegant spoke design brings aerodynamic and weight improvements. Although the spokes are thinner the BOOST is stronger than ever - with a permissible maximal static load of 280 kg on rear and 180 kg on front wheel.

THREE-COMPONENT-COMPOSITE

Produced using Rotobox's unique 3 component composite - combining carbon, epoxy and stainless steel. The stainless 2,5 mm steel wire is integrated in each side of the rim increasing its impact resistance at the most critical outer part.

STRUCTURAL RIB

Thanks to the High Pressure Core Technology the structural rib is placed in the inner side between the spokes, with its mission to support the stress hot spot of the wheel. As a result the BOOST elegant spoke design brings greater stiffness and although the spokes are thinner the BOOST is stronger than ever.

Titanium Hex Head Bolts M10x1.5x25mm

Made from Aircraft Spec Grade 5 Titanium Alloy. Special high performance design by Rotobox. Precision machined with rolled threads and completely corrosion free. Excellent durability and minimum weight, 45% lighter than steel equivalents. Available optionally with the wheels.

I'm looking to replace the rear shocks on my 2019 Triumph Speed Twin. The ride is too harsh on bumpy roads and I can be launched from the saddle when I ride faster over a series of bumps. I don't notice this issue on my other motorcycles riding the same road.

I like the traditional look of the TR 924 better than the more advanced TR 923, but wonder if the ride will be improved enough with the TR 924 shocks. See more »

The TR 923 has more adjustability and will have a better rider, see below for details. I would personally go with the TR 923 and just let the Ohlins Swedish gold shine!
-Monotube high pressure gas type of shock absorber with external “piggy back” reservoir. -Öhlins Motorcycle R1 rebound damping adjuster -Adjustable rebound damping on single tube shocks. Adjuster wheel above the end eye. -Öhlins Motorcycle S36C1 compression damping adjuster -Adjustable compression damping. Adjuster wheel or slot on the reservoir… See full answer »

The Kawasaki Z900 does not come with a quick shifter from the factory so this has been the perfect upgrade. Translogic bi directional Quickshifter for Z900 models 2017 onwards with standard road shift or inverted race shift gear lever set-up which does not mean blipper! it can be used in either direction meaning you can choose to select your gears in the standard road fashion 1 down 5 up or if you ride track you may want to flip it and use 1 up 5 down, this is helpful when leaning over to the left and needing to upshift so your foot does not get wedged between the road and the bike.
For Z900RS & Z900RS Cafe models 2018 onwards with standard road shift or inverted race shift gear lever set-up you will want to opt for part number TLS-QSXi-YK-DCS-62

Since unsprung weight is an important factor it would be helpful to know exactly what the weight is, so a comparison can be made to my current set up. See more »

Unsprung weight is important but not as important as the performance of the brakes. These rotors are made of the highest quality materials, the aluminum carrier is very light and there is a good amount of material removed from the braking disc however this is not done arbitrarily, It is done with many hours of dyno testing and the R&D within Moto2 Moto3 and Superbikes to provide the rider with a product that will reduce high braking temperatures and provide a superior braking performance and rider feel.
For the 320mm TK Dischi Freno R1/R6 Brake rotor with the evo carrier each rotor weighs 3lbs 4 oz

Yes you can use this in replace of your oem coolant expansion tank however we can not confirm if this will get in the way of any oem bodywork or trim. This is a common modification for Track bikes that remove the oem fairings and use race fairings
