This works with

Yamaha Blip Assist System for MT-09 (FZ-09) & MT-09 Tracer (FJ-09) models 2017 to 2020 with Yamaha Quickshifter wiring. Plug&Play system.

Yamaha Blip Assist ECU for R1 models 2015 to 2017

This will not work on the 2021+ Yamaha R1 due to there not being a Blip assist kit from Translogic for this model

Hi, Up and down means that you can reverse the gear linkage for GP shift or Reverse shift 1 up 5 down and the sensor will work. It is not a clutchless downshift blipbox

The shift sensor will work in either direction meaning you can use standard shift ot reverse GP shift set up by flipping the linkage arm 180 degrees, however this is not the same as a blip system for clutchless downshifts.
It will not work for down shifting.

This is only the quick shift and not the auto blip. It has the ability to do standard shift pattern or reverse shift pattern.
