Suter Racing Suterclutch MX-line Honda CRF250r/x 2018-2021 004-29051

The SuterClutch precisely controls all aspects of engine braking, massively improving the stability of the bike. This results in stable late braking, precise corner entry and optimal corner exit speed.

• First choice for more than 20 years in WSBK, MotoGP & MXGP championships

• The BTL MX-Line (Back Torque Limiter Without Anti-Hopping Technology) slipper clutch has been designed and developed to allow traction to be adjusted to accommodate different riding conditions. The Suter Clutch reduces the threat of over-revving the engine and maximizes the suspension performance.

• Quick off the start line due to a better clutch control

• Precise response and fine controllability

• Less power required to operate the clutch

Extremely wear resistant, guaranteed longer lifetime

• Smoother braking phase over big bumps

• Less power required to operate the clutch

• Proven faster lap times

• More precise corner entry

• Higher corner speed

• Adjusted in conjunction with chassis and suspension set up the slipper clutch encourages smooth deceleration into corners and controlled acceleration out of corners.

• Produces a significantly softened braking phase before corners

• The SuterClutch is highly impressive through its excellent responsiveness, the efficient inner lubrication, and its easy installation. The unique color of this clutch results from the hard-anodized Teflon coating, which considerably minimizes the wear on the friction surfaces.

• Fully adjustable to personal riding style

• There are two editions for the SuterClutch available: The MX-Line and the BTL-Line. Unlike the BTL-Line, the MX clutch comes without the anti-hopping mechanism.

• Through its ingenious design, you can fit it without any special installation tools. The pressure plate is installed using 6 bolts, allowing easy access for maintenance.

• Quick to install without special tools

SuterClutch MX-Line

Advantages of the MX-Line SuterClutch:

  • Quick off the start line due to better clutch control (up to 0.1s time gain after 2m)
  • Precise response and fine controllability
  • Extremely wear-resistant, guaranteed a longer lifetime
  • Quick to install without special tools

Starting times of the MX-Line SuterClutch compared to the OEM Clutch:

Unlike the BTL-Line the MX-Line SuterClutch comes without anti-hopping technology.
Detail information for MX customers
In MX Sports, the clutch is a vital tool for the riders to control the bike. Not only for starting performance - the clutch is used all around the track to control the bike over bumps, into corners, out of corners, at take-off for jumps and also as a kind of traction control. Some riders use the clutch more than others and also in a different way. Especially top-level riders, prefer different characteristics. Some like a very aggressive be-havior, some like a softer engagement.

The benefit of the MX-Line Clutch: Lightening quick starts and fully adjustable
The standard clutches on MX bikes often run at their limit. They have a certain slip, designed to make the gearbox more durable. Therefore, during hard acceleration, the clutch slips very slightly during each engine combustion torque peak.
In top-level racing, the need for long durability of the gearbox parts are secondary to the improved perfor-mance. A clutch perfectly tuned to the rider’s technique is much more important.

BTL-Line: the well-established and reliable anti-hopping mechanism
The BTL-Line SuterClutch offers, as well as the normal clutch function, a so-called back-torque limiter. Simply explained, the clutch has a mechanism internally, that only allows a specified engine brake torque to the rear wheel from the crankshaft. Mainly on road racing, such slipper clutches are the only way to control the engine brake momentum of high compression four-stroke engines. In the past, the two-stroke engines didn’t create much engine brake. Now that Suter has invented a fully adjustable BTL system, the riders can adjust the engine brake as they wish. In other words, you can adjust your four-stroke bike to behave like a two-stroke - without any engine brake, or something in between. Improved oil flow through the plate pack-age also increases the durability of the plates and gives some extra smoothness.

Benefits of the BTL Clutch in MX
A BTL Clutch on a MX Bike makes the bike smoother into corners, especially the “kicking” on brake bumps can be smoothed out, and the bike is less nervous in corners.
The Suter BTL system works completely independent from the normal clutch function. You can adjust your corner entry behavior separately from the "normal" clutch performance for starting or exiting corners. Numerous testing with top riders showed improved lap times with a lower heart rate. The riders were less busy keeping the bike on the right line into the corners or felt less kicking from the throttle.
It is up to the team to find the best balance between engine brake into the corners and engine brake needed during takeoff for jumps. Not enough engine brake at corner entry reduces the weight transfer to the front. The bike eventually doesn’t like to turn anymore, as the front stays too high mid-corner.
What justifies the price difference between SuterClutch and competing products?
Just by looking at the construction you can see that the SuterClutch consists of much more and more com-plex parts, as a standard clutch. Besides, we use only high-quality materials refined to ensure the highest possible stability and longevity (e.g. Teflon-containing special coating to minimise abrasion).

I'm looking to replace the rear shocks on my 2019 Triumph Speed Twin. The ride is too harsh on bumpy roads and I can be launched from the saddle when I ride faster over a series of bumps. I don't notice this issue on my other motorcycles riding the same road.

I like the traditional look of the TR 924 better than the more advanced TR 923, but wonder if the ride will be improved enough with the TR 924 shocks. See more »

The TR 923 has more adjustability and will have a better rider, see below for details. I would personally go with the TR 923 and just let the Ohlins Swedish gold shine!
-Monotube high pressure gas type of shock absorber with external “piggy back” reservoir. -Öhlins Motorcycle R1 rebound damping adjuster -Adjustable rebound damping on single tube shocks. Adjuster wheel above the end eye. -Öhlins Motorcycle S36C1 compression damping adjuster -Adjustable compression damping. Adjuster wheel or slot on the reservoir… See full answer »

The Kawasaki Z900 does not come with a quick shifter from the factory so this has been the perfect upgrade. Translogic bi directional Quickshifter for Z900 models 2017 onwards with standard road shift or inverted race shift gear lever set-up which does not mean blipper! it can be used in either direction meaning you can choose to select your gears in the standard road fashion 1 down 5 up or if you ride track you may want to flip it and use 1 up 5 down, this is helpful when leaning over to the left and needing to upshift so your foot does not get wedged between the road and the bike.
For Z900RS & Z900RS Cafe models 2018 onwards with standard road shift or inverted race shift gear lever set-up you will want to opt for part number TLS-QSXi-YK-DCS-62

Since unsprung weight is an important factor it would be helpful to know exactly what the weight is, so a comparison can be made to my current set up. See more »

Unsprung weight is important but not as important as the performance of the brakes. These rotors are made of the highest quality materials, the aluminum carrier is very light and there is a good amount of material removed from the braking disc however this is not done arbitrarily, It is done with many hours of dyno testing and the R&D within Moto2 Moto3 and Superbikes to provide the rider with a product that will reduce high braking temperatures and provide a superior braking performance and rider feel.
For the 320mm TK Dischi Freno R1/R6 Brake rotor with the evo carrier each rotor weighs 3lbs 4 oz

Yes you can use this in replace of your oem coolant expansion tank however we can not confirm if this will get in the way of any oem bodywork or trim. This is a common modification for Track bikes that remove the oem fairings and use race fairings
