19RCS CORSA CORTA RR – Race Replica Radial master cylinder

Many new features have been introduced for this new radial brake master cylinder, the closest to those used in top motorbike racing. Machined from billet, like the master cylinder used in MotoGP and SBK, the design of the new Brembo 19RCS CORSA CORTA RR has been modified to make it lighter and even more similar to the racing versions. The hard oxidized finish, in titanium grey, ensures outstanding wear resistance and extremely low friction between moving parts. It comes in a darker color than the previous version, precisely because of the type of treatment, making it even more similar to the versions used in Moto2 and Moto3.

The floating piston and gaskets are the same as the components used in MotoGP, as are the bleed and brake fluid delivery circuit couplings. These are inclined by over 30° to facilitate bleeding of the master cylinder.

The lever, modified in shape, retains its characteristic feature that has made it famous among enthusiasts: it allows the riders to tailor the “bite point” exactly where they want it, with an easily accessible selector on the top of the master cylinder itself. The selector operates a cam mechanism to let the user choose between three different responsiveness settings.

In the Normal setting, indicated on the master cylinder with the letter N, the bite point starts more gradually, making it suitable for city riding or braking in poor grip conditions.

In the Sport setting, indicated on the master cylinder with the letter S, the beginning of the bite point is shorter than that of the N setting.

This setting produces a more dynamic response suitable for sportier riding.

Lastly, in the Race setting, indicated on the master cylinder with the letter R, the position of the cam mechanism shortens the initial stage of the bite point even further to produce the same immediate response of the master cylinders used in MotoGP, letting the rider reach the bite point of the brakes instantaneously. This setting is ideal for use on the racetrack, where every hundredth of a second shaved off a lap time counts.

By simply changing from one setting to another, the rider can configure the braking response and feel of the bike immediately and predictably.

The new Brembo 19RCS CORSA CORTA RR also features the RCS (Ratio Click System) system introduced 15 years ago on the Brembo 19RCS radial master cylinder. This lets the rider select a fulcrum-to-piston distance of 18 or 20 mm by simply turning the adjuster screw on the front of the guide lever by 180° with a screwdriver. The system uses a cam (red when set to 18 mm, black when set to 20 mm), which adjusts the distance between the fulcrum point and the contact point with the master cylinder push rod by 2 millimetres: this changes the distribution of the braking force without altering the performance of the system in terms of pure power.

The adjustment system allows the rider to achieve complete feeling with their bike and adapt braking performance to their riding style, the bike, the weather and road conditions, relying on three different master cylinders in one, bringing the performance of the braking system as a whole to another level. In fact, the choice of two fulcrum-to-piston measurements (18 and 20 mm) and three bite-point settings (R, S and N) offer a total of six different settings.

The lever assembly can be replaced without removing the RCS (Ratio Click System) system from the master cylinder and, therefore, without altering the settings made during assembly of the master cylinder in the Brembo Racing workshop.

The 19RCS CORSA CORTA RR showcases the new Brembo logo, recently introduced and characterized by a simple and modern soul, with softer and more rounded shapes that speak to the digital native generation.

The Brembo radial master cylinder has revolutionized braking systems over the past few decades. Conceived originally for racing use, it has over the years become an increasingly sought-after solution for Supersports and Naked bikes. Despite its appearance on production models, the radial master cylinder is still a thoroughbred racing solution and continues to be used in MotoGP.

Now every rider can drastically improve the braking performance of their mid or large size motorcycle and benefit from the many advantages of Brembo's decades of experience in braking systems simply by replacing the original equipment radial master cylinder with a Brembo radial product.

I'm looking to replace the rear shocks on my 2019 Triumph Speed Twin. The ride is too harsh on bumpy roads and I can be launched from the saddle when I ride faster over a series of bumps. I don't notice this issue on my other motorcycles riding the same road.

I like the traditional look of the TR 924 better than the more advanced TR 923, but wonder if the ride will be improved enough with the TR 924 shocks. See more »

The TR 923 has more adjustability and will have a better rider, see below for details. I would personally go with the TR 923 and just let the Ohlins Swedish gold shine!
-Monotube high pressure gas type of shock absorber with external “piggy back” reservoir. -Öhlins Motorcycle R1 rebound damping adjuster -Adjustable rebound damping on single tube shocks. Adjuster wheel above the end eye. -Öhlins Motorcycle S36C1 compression damping adjuster -Adjustable compression damping. Adjuster wheel or slot on the reservoir… See full answer »

The Kawasaki Z900 does not come with a quick shifter from the factory so this has been the perfect upgrade. Translogic bi directional Quickshifter for Z900 models 2017 onwards with standard road shift or inverted race shift gear lever set-up which does not mean blipper! it can be used in either direction meaning you can choose to select your gears in the standard road fashion 1 down 5 up or if you ride track you may want to flip it and use 1 up 5 down, this is helpful when leaning over to the left and needing to upshift so your foot does not get wedged between the road and the bike.
For Z900RS & Z900RS Cafe models 2018 onwards with standard road shift or inverted race shift gear lever set-up you will want to opt for part number TLS-QSXi-YK-DCS-62

Since unsprung weight is an important factor it would be helpful to know exactly what the weight is, so a comparison can be made to my current set up. See more »

Unsprung weight is important but not as important as the performance of the brakes. These rotors are made of the highest quality materials, the aluminum carrier is very light and there is a good amount of material removed from the braking disc however this is not done arbitrarily, It is done with many hours of dyno testing and the R&D within Moto2 Moto3 and Superbikes to provide the rider with a product that will reduce high braking temperatures and provide a superior braking performance and rider feel.
For the 320mm TK Dischi Freno R1/R6 Brake rotor with the evo carrier each rotor weighs 3lbs 4 oz

Yes you can use this in replace of your oem coolant expansion tank however we can not confirm if this will get in the way of any oem bodywork or trim. This is a common modification for Track bikes that remove the oem fairings and use race fairings
