The MWR Performance Air Filter Pods for your Ducati 996R or 998 (all versions) replaces all the original filters with a design that is preferred by high mileage street riders, track day junkies, and top level racers/teams.

As seen in the pictures, these filters are mounted against both sides of the airbox while the fuel tank acts as the lid of the airbox and also ensures that the filters do not move.

This design costs a little more, but offers a perfect seal, excellent protection and performance, and easy trouble free installation that allows for fast easy maintenance and keeps your injection system easily accessible.
