Race-Derived Airflow Technology
Inspired by technology developed for WorldSBK applications, the MWR High Efficient Air Filter uses an aerodynamic plate system designed to distribute airflow more evenly across all three cylinders.
Its dual-plate construction helps reduce turbulence behind the plate while increasing and stabilizing the speed of the incoming air. The resulting airflow can improve cylinder filling and provide additional tuning potential, particularly when optimizing ignition and fueling.
For the best performance results, ECU remapping or the use of an appropriate fuel-control module is recommended.
Optional Airbox Modification
For riders looking to further optimize airflow, an optional modification can be made to the airbox tubes. The tubes can be shortened approximately halfway and cut at a 45-degree angle, with both tubes cut to the same height. Refer to the product image for the recommended configuration.
Important: This airbox modification does not apply to the Yamaha R9.
MWR High Performance Velocity Stacks
MWR High Performance Velocity Stacks are also available for compatible Yamaha models. The two-piece design provides a clean, precise seal with the airbox while further optimizing the intake system.

The Performance Filter (MC-090-09)
This filter is a direct performance upgrade from your bikes standard filter. Offering better airflow and protection than the original, this filter will (when maintained correctly) last the life of your bike, simply clean and re-oil once a year.
The HE (High Efficient) air filter (MC-090-09-HE) for road & race bikes
The revolutionary HE Air filter increases power and reduces intake noise. Unlike any other sports filter all inlets will get the same quantity of air, regardless of the speed of the motorcycle or wind directions. This is because of the unique design of the Air Splitter Plate (see illustration to understand how the Air Splitter works) and how it evenly distributes air throughout the airbox. No different fuel-mappings between internal & external or front & rear cylinders are needed. Clean and re-oil once a year.
NOTE: For the best performance, Order two more of the Shortest velocity stack that comes in your Airbox from your local Yamaha dealer, and replace the two taller stacks

Honesty.
I ordered this part for my r6.
Got a email back about 4 days later saying I didnt order the correct lines for it.
HHR didnt have to do that. I would not have known they took the time to make sure i got the part the first time.
I appreciate that alot. Integrity in this day and age seems to be long forgotten thing.
Will be ordering more parts as I need them and will use HHR for them.

Awesome piece and fits perfect. Definitely recommend getting this over the standard version, which I also have. This one pan is 30mm lower. Also make sure you get the Alpha seat Support bracket if running the stock subframe in addition to the mounting kit.
