TTX RT Shock Absorber BM 146
Cavitation. Something you don’t want in your shock absorber. It’s devastating because basically it means the damping is lost. Small bubbles in the oil can never create the necessary damping forces. Traditional dampers working in extreme conditions sometimes suffers from low pressure on the piston backside.
The TTX was created by Öhlins engineers to eliminate the risk for cavitation. They succeeded. With the TTX technology a positive pressure balance is created in the shock which means the risk for cavitation is gone.
TTX stands for Twin Tube with the X illustrating how the flow through the valves in the cylinder head is designed. Thanks to the twin tube technology the pressure usually created on top of the piston is transferred through the cylinder head and the adjusters for compression and rebound, then flows through the space between the inner and outer tube to the other side of the solid piston.
These equals to a pressure balance within the shock. The outer reservoir is only used to take care of the oil displacement from the piston rod and heat expansion, which is why it can be fairly small in design. Inside the reservoir there is a dividing piston between the oil and the nitrogen gas.

The Tire Monitoring System (TMS) consists of a battery powered wireless sensor fitted to the rims which send data over a RF frequency to a compact receiver placed within the vehicle. The receiver sends the values over CAN Bus to the connected datalogger.

The Brembo Racing Z04 compound was developed specifically for racing and designed to provide maximum performance in the most extreme competitions.

The cover fits into the OEM triple clamp of all S 1000 RR models as well as the HP4 and allows the mounting of the ON/OFF switch (see Accessories tab) instead of the standard ignition lock. Due to the recessed mounting position, the ON/OFF switch is also very well protected in case of a crash.

This washer kit was specially developed for the OEM gearbox. Using this kit and a perfect distancing (ideally together with the installation of superfinished gearbox parts) ideal gear changes and more engine performance (due to friction reductions) can be achieved.

Modified vehicle parts
When using the large kit cooler, the fairing may have to be adjusted a little.
When determining the connecting rod bearing clearance with the aid of Plastigauge, an incorrect result is obtained due to twisting of the connecting rod on the bearing seat when tightening the connecting rod screws. With the feeler gauges, placed on the right and left of the connecting rod, the twisting is avoided and the result with Plastigauge is usable.
